Ambire Wallet lets you securely sync accounts between the browser extension and the mobile app using a QR-based transfer.
Account Sync works in both directions, so you can move accounts from the extension to mobile version or from mobile to the extension version. You can sync all of your accounts at once or select only the accounts you want to sync.
Account Sync is available when setting up Ambire Wallet on a new device/fresh installation, as well as at any time between existing Ambire Wallet installations.
What does Account Sync transfer?
Account Sync transfers the information required to use the selected accounts on the other Ambire Wallet installation, including their public addresses and account keys (private key/seed phrase).
The transfer is performed through a dynamic QR code and transferred data is encrypted using the password of the Ambire Wallet installation you're exporting from.
Important: The QR code contains sensitive account information. Do not share it, save screenshots of it, or allow anyone else to scan it.

How to sync your accounts
The process is essentially the same whether you're syncing Extension → Mobile or Mobile → Extension.
Open the Accounts menu of the existing instance
Open Ambire Wallet extension or mobile app and navigate to your Accounts menu. Select "Sync with mobile" or "Sync with extension", depending on the version you're using.
Choose Export
Select Export to mobile or Export to extension.
Select the accounts
Choose which accounts you want to transfer. You can select individual accounts or use Select all to transfer all available accounts.
Press "Confirm" to generate the dynamic QR code.
Open Ambire Wallet on the receiving device
If this is a fresh installation, select "Already an Ambire user" during the setup and choose the account import/sync option. If Ambire Wallet is already set up, open Accounts → Sync with mobile/extension → Import accounts
Scan the QR code
Use the receiving device to scan the dynamic QR code.
Make sure Ambire Wallet has permission to access the device's camera. Position the QR code inside the purple markers shown on the scanning screen and keep both devices steady.
Wait for the transfer to complete
Follow the green progress indicator while Ambire Wallet reads the QR data. Transferring more accounts means more data needs to be exchanged, so syncing may take a little longer.
Confirm the import
Once the QR transfer is complete, confirm the import by entering the password of the Ambire Wallet installation you exported the accounts from.
After confirmation, the selected accounts will appear in the Accounts menu of the receiving Ambire Wallet installation.
Extension <-> Mobile
You can repeat the same process whenever you need to transfer additional accounts. Account Sync does not require either installation to be a new one and you can import accounts into an Ambire Wallet installation that already contains other accounts.
This makes it possible to keep the accounts you need available across Ambire Wallet Extension and Ambire Wallet Mobile without having to manually import each account individually.
Security tip: Only perform Account Sync between devices you trust. Treat the generated QR code as sensitive information and never share it with another person.
