The new Ambire Wallet Extension fully supports accounts created through the Web version or with the Mobile app. These are now called "v1 accounts", and the ones created with the extension version are called "v2 accounts".
While that's true, we recommend you create a new v2 Ambire Wallet account and transfer your assets from the v1 to the v2 account so that you can take advantage of all the extension's benefits.
The import of the v1 account in the Extension version depends on its type - whether its signer key is email+password, or EOA account (Web3 wallet or hardware wallet).
Click on the signer key type of your v1 account, to check the relevant tutorial:
Note: Importing v1 in the extension doesn't change the account. It doesn't turn it into a v2 account, and it stays compatible with the Web and Mobile versions of Ambire Wallet.
v1 account with Hardware wallet as a signer key
Step 1: Navigate to the "Accounts" menu, click on "+Add Account" and select "Connect a hardware wallet":
Step 2: Select the type of your Hardware Wallet device. Ambire Wallet supports all devices of Trezor, Ledger and Grid+
Step 3: When you connect your hardware wallet device, you will be presented with a list of Basic Accounts (those are the EOA accounts of your hardware wallet) and Smart Accounts (those are the Ambire Wallet v2 accounts, that you can create with this Hardware Wallet device).
Your v1 Ambire Wallet accounts will be displayed under the "Linked Smart Accounts" menu.
Keep in mind that if your signer key address is not on the first page, your Linked Smart Account(s) won't be shown on that same page. Navigate to the page where your signer key is, and there will also be a menu and list of Linked Smart Account(s), related to ththe signer keys from that page.
Step 4: Select the v1 account you want to add and use, click on "Done," and then continue to add and personalize the account.
Step 5: You can now manage your v1 Ambire Wallet account with the Extension and sign transaction, using the hardware wallet device.

Your v1 Ambire Wallet accounts will be displayed under "Linked Smart Accounts" menu.
Step 5: You can now manage your v1 Ambire Wallet account with the Extension and sign transaction, using the hardware wallet device.
v1 account with Email+Password signer
It's not possible to directly import email+password v1 accounts in the Ambire Wallet extension.
To do it, you have to add EOA signer key to your account. Keep in mind that signer keys are specific to the blockchain networks, and you have to add such to each of the networks you want to use in the extension.
Once done, you can follow one of the above guides, depending on the signer key type you have used:
