To be able to receive revenue as a publisher on Ambire AdEx, your website URL(s) need to be verified. For any new website or even a subdomain for an existing website you would like to add to your Ambire AdEx account, you also need to follow the below process.
The verification process is following:
1. Add a DNS TXT record to your publisher domain or place a .well-known/adex.txt
file in the root directory that contains the same string as shown in the DNS TXT record tutorial (scroll down for instructions on adding DNS TXT records and .well-known files).
IMPORTANT: Please do not edit or delete the DNS TXT record or .well-known file after verification as this would unverify your website! These records must remain there for as long as you would like to be an Ambire AdEx publisher.
3. Integrate the ad slot to your website
Please note the verification process can take up to 24 hours and you need to have added the DNS TXT record or a file in .well-known, as well as created and integrated an ad slot before your website URL can be verified.
In case you encounter any issues with the verification, please send us your Ambire AdEx account ID and your website URL (including log in credentials if it is behind log in) in a ticket in our Help Center.
If your site requires login to be accessed, please provide us with (test) credentials so that our team can check the installation of the banners.
Note: if you have submitted & verified your website as www.example.com, we will also allow example.com and vice versa (when a website is verified as example.com, we will also allow www.example.com). Please note however, that this would not work for subdomains, e.g. if a.example.com is verified, www.a.example.com will not be permitted and would need to be submitted separately.
How to add a DNS TXT record
1. Create a new DNS TXT record for your site with the following details:
Name: yourwebsite.com.
DNS TXT record: adex-publisher=ACCOUNT_ID
(replace ACCOUNT_ID with your own Ambire AdEx account, you can see that ID when you click on "Account" in the lower left corner of the Ambire AdEx platform screen). Please note the Ambire AdEx account ID is case sensitive.
2. Make sure to save the new DNS record.

How to add a .well-known file
1. Create a new text file with the following name: .well-known/adex.txt
2. Put the following content inside the text file: adex-publisher=ACCOUNT_ID
(replace ACCOUNT_ID with your own Ambire AdEx account, you can see that ID when you click on "Account" in the lower left corner of the Ambire AdEx platform screen). Please note the Ambire AdEx account ID is case sensitive.
3. Place the new text file in the root directory of your site so our system can detect it, for example: https://yourwebsite/.well-known/adex.txt
