Transaction batching refers to grouping (or batching) multiple actions together in one transaction, which we offer as a fee optimising feature of Ambire Wallet. Let's say that you want to swap ETH for USDT and make two transactions - one with the newly acquired USDT and one with ETH. In a normal situation you will need to:
1. Swap ETH for USDT
2. Send USDT to address x
3. Send ETH to address y
Therefore, a total of 3 transactions, each with its own fee. With Ambire Wallet, you can batch all 3 transactions together, even the one for transferring tokens, still not owned by you (USDT in this case), as long as you have a swap transaction in the batch. By batching these together, we eliminate 2 payments of the base gas fee (21000).
As such, transaction batching is providing our users with a bit more control over transaction fees. In this article, you can find a step-by-step tutorial on how to group multiple transactions into one.
