We are thrilled to announce that Fantom is now one of the networks supported on Ambire Wallet
Ambire Wallet is designed to support a number of different networks and blockchains. Today we are thrilled to announce that we just integrated another network that you can use with Ambire Wallet — Fantom.
What is Fantom
Fantom is a decentralized, permissionless, open-source smart contract platform for decentralized applications (dApps) and digital assets — one of blockchain networks built to provide an alternative to Ethereum.
How does Fantom work
Fantom uses an Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerant (aBFT), Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocol to secure the entire network.
Asynchronous Byzantine Fault Tolerance (aBFT) is a mechanism that enables a decentralized, trustless network.
Fantom uses aBFT for it’s Proof-of-Stake (PoS) procotol known as Lachesis. It’s a highly scalable protocol which ensures fast speeds and high security on the Fantom network.
Lachesis powers “Opera”, Fantom’s mainnet blockchain platform.
Opera is an Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatible platform that also supports smart contracts in Solidity, Ethereums coding language.
Since Opera is EVM compatible, Fantom applications can be built to work with Ethereum based platforms.
This also makes it easier for Ethereum developers to migrate over to Fantom.
Fantom and Ambire Wallet
Fantom is the latest EVM-compatible network integrated into Ambire Wallet.
The network enjoys a growing popularity among crypto and DeFi enthusiasts. This is no surprise, as Fantom offers flexibility and high-performance capabilities. Last but not least, it is appreciated by the cryptocurrency community for its low transaction fees and speedy transactions.
In Ambire Wallet, you can easily send or receive crypto on Fantom.
