Our native token $WALLET is still available as a gas payment currency on the Ethereum network
One of the key features of Ambire Wallet is to provide users with the possibility to pay for gas in tokens, other than the native cryptocurrency of the particular network. Earlier this year, on the 15th of February, we have extended the list of available tokens to pay for gas fees on the Ethereum network with the $WALLET and xWALLET tokens.
As of 30th of September the xWALLET token will be excluded from the list of cryptocurrencies available for payment of gas fees. The current list of tokens, available for gas payments on the Ethereum network include:
- ETH
- WALLET
- USDC
- USDT
- DAI
- BUSD
- and WETH
Here you can find the full list of supported networks and the respective tokens that can be used as a gas payment currencies for each network.
What about the xWALLET tokens in the Gas Tank?
Once a certain token is sent to the Ambire Wallet Gas Tank it is "locked" there and cannot be refunded. Because of this, the xWALLET tokens that are already in your Gas Tank are still available as a gas payment solution, but you are no longer able to fill the Gas Tank with more xWALLET tokens.
What is the Gas Tank?
Ambire Wallet's "Gas Tank" is a feature that enables Ambire Wallet users to benefit from savings on transaction fees processed through the Relayer, or in other words it allows users to pre-pay for gas fees. Here you can read more about the Gas Tank and the list of tokens, which can be used for filling up the Gas Tank can be found here.
