This article provides a comprehensive guide on how to Rage quit (leave) your xWALLET staking position. Before getting started, we suggest revisiting the WALLET rewards claiming mechanism.
RAGE QUIT means you can unbond some of your staked WALLET tokens (or all) without waiting 30 days BUT please note you would only receive 50% of the withdrawal amount. The remaining 50% will be distributed amongst other stakers.
As of now, there is no user interface within the Ambire wallet that facilitates direct Rage quitting. To help you, we've created a comprehensive tutorial with step-by-step instructions.
Step 1: Navigate to this Etherscan link.
Step 2: While in the "Read Contract" menu, go to “5. balanceOf” and paste in your address in the "owner (address)" field. Then click Query and copy the resulting amount - you will need it in the next step.
The number should be the amount of your xWALLET tokens in that address, written without a decimal symbol and with 18 decimal digits. For example, if you have 555 xWALLET tokens, you will see the following number 555000000000000000000, or if you have 12 xWALLET tokens, the number will be 12000000000000000000
Step 3: Switch to "Write Contract" and connect your Ambire Wallet via WalletConnect. Here are step-by-step instructions: "How to connect dApp via WalletConnect"
You will see a green circle once your Ambire wallet is successfully connected.
Step 4: In the "Write Contract" menu click on the rageLeave (0x8a07b419), where you will be presented with two fields.
In the "shares (uint256)" field enter the amount you received in Step 2.
In the "skipMint (bool)" enter "false"
Then click the "Write" button and sign the transaction in your Ambire Wallet (you must pay the gas fees).
For example here is how the transaction waiting to be signed should look in your Ambire Wallet, if you rage leaving 100 xWALLET tokens.
