V2 of Ambire Wallet mobile app is not a portfolio viewer with a send button bolted on. The whole point of this completely new app was one wallet across desktop and mobile, so what we shipped is the extension's feature set is now available on your phone. Track your portfolio, swap tokens, and manage your DeFi positions on the go. Same accounts. Same smart features. Same clear signing. Same Gas Tank. Same security model, with easy option to sync accounts between the devices.
The Ambire mobile app also supports Smart Accounts originally created through the old version of the mobile app, of via legacy web version of Ambire Wallet. These accounts are now referred to as v1 accounts, while accounts created with the newer versions of Ambire Wallet are referred to as v2 accounts.
Although you can continue using your v1 account in the new mobile app, we recommend creating a new EOA (or use existing one) and transferring your assets from your v1 account to it. This allows you to take the full advantage of the features and improvements available with the EOA accounts, that wasn't available when Ambire Wallet and v1 Smart Accounts was introduced.
The process of adding a v1 account to the mobile app depends on the type of signer key associated with it - a hardware wallet, Web3 wallet, or email and password.
Select your signer key type below to follow the relevant instructions:
Note: Adding a v1 account to the Ambire mobile app does not convert it into a v2 account. It remains a v1 account and stays compatible with the legacy Web version of Ambire Wallet.

v1 account with an Email + Password signer
It is not possible to directly import a v1 account that uses email and password as its signer into the Ambire mobile app.
To use this account in the mobile app, you first need to add an EOA signer key to the v1 account.
Keep in mind that signer keys are specific to individual blockchain networks. You will therefore need to add an EOA signer key for each network on which you want to use the account in the mobile app.
Once you have added an EOA signer, follow one of the guides above depending on the type of signer key you added:
How to add signer key (signer) to an email+password v1 account
Adding signer to your v1 account can be done only though the legacy "web version" of Ambire Wallet, available here.
Step 1: Log-in with your email and open the Security on the left side menu of your Dashboard.
Step 2: In the "Authorized signers" field, select "Add signer" option.
A pop-up window will appear, where you can select the new signer you want to add. The available options are Trezor, Ledger and Grid+ as hardware wallet signers, and EOA.
You have two options - to straight away add the address of the new signer or select the address from one of the available options - hardware or Web3 wallet. Then click on "Add" button.
Step 3: Review and sign the transaction.
Note: Be careful with the address you are adding as a signer!
Adding signer to your v1 Account means that once the transaction is signed and mined on the network, this new signer have full control over your account and can also remove other signers.
Step 4: Confirming the transaction
Depending on how you logged in, by using email, Metamask, Trezor, Ledger or Grid+, there are a few transaction confirmation options you could be presented with after clicking on Sign and Send.
Email login: In order to confirm the transaction, you will be asked to type in your password, as well as a one-time password (OTP), which will be automatically sent to the email address you registered with or a 2FA authentication code if you have activated your 2FA authentication. Please keep in mind that the OTP is active only for 3 minutes.
Metamask login: A Metamask window with a confirmation option will automatically pop up. After you sign the transaction there, it will be confirmed in the Ambire Wallet.
Trezor, Ledger or Grid+: The transaction needs to be confirmed in your hardware wallet
